Report: Swansea City Bids For Nahki Wells - Bernews

A report suggests that Bermudian footballer Nahki Wells could be on the move to Swansea City, with the club apparently making a bid for the striker.

A story at HITC.com said, “Forgotten man Nahki Wells could be on his way out of Burnley this summer with the Sun reporting that the striker is a target for Swansea City.

“After shining in the lower leagues with Bradford City and Huddersfield Town, Wells was handed his chance in the top tier for the first time on the final day of the 2017 transfer window.

“But, perhaps fittingly for a player who features for Bermuda at international level, the 29-year-old went missing at Turf Moor following his £5 million move.

“Wells played nine Premier League games without scoring a goal for the Clarets and spend the entirety of last season on loan at QPR, forming an effective partnership with Tomer Hemed to keep the Londoners just about clear of the relegation zone.

“According to the Sun, Swansea have offered £2.5 million for a player who netted seven times in 40 Championship games at QPR.”

A story at Futaa.com said, “Premier League wantaway Nahki Wells is reportedly set for a move away from Burnley with Swansea City to be his likely destination according to the Sun reports.

“Wells made a name for himself with Bradford City and Huddersfield Town before he was given an opportunity of a lifetime in topflight on the deadline day of the 2017 transfer window.

“However the move ended up being successful and the Bermuda international was nowhere to be seen – the deal was worth £5 million at the time.

“According to the Sun reports, Swansea have made a table offer of £2.5 million for Wells who managed to score seven times in 40 Championship game at QPR.”
